• Palette knife painting for fun textures

• Sculpt with air-dry, polymer, or plasticine clay
• Make animals, characters, or fun shapes
• Add texture with tools, stamps, or even toys!

• Weaving on simple looms with yarn or ribbon
• Macramé wall hangings or punch needle
(great for older kids and teens)
• Create softies or mini pillows

That’s a wrap on Earth & Sky: Nature Inspired! 🌍☁️✨ This week was all about exploring the beauty of the world around (and above) us—through nature, space, texture, and imagination.

Our campers took on a series of hands-on projects inspired by amazing artists who find their muse in the natural world. We crafted shimmering faux glass planets inspired by glass artist Josh Simpson, experimented with liquid watercolors and glow-in-the-dark stitching in galaxy art inspired by Lanchen Mihalic, and created tiny woodland dioramas using upcycled Altoid tins à la Ann Wood.

Inspired by Jorge Luis Santos, we explored color, form, and texture with abstract burst art using paint and plastic bags, then added 3D elements like beads and paper. And in a nod to Damien Hirst, campers sculpted their own clay bug and butterfly specimens—an imaginative twist on natural history displays.

From galaxies to gardens, the creativity was out of this world. 🌌🌿 We wrapped it all up with an inspiring Art Show to celebrate each camper’s unique vision. So proud of all the curiosity, creativity, and heart they poured into this week! 💚💫

That’s a wrap on Color Splash! 🌈🎨 This vibrant week was packed with bold expression, creative energy, and a deep dive into the world of color.

Our campers explored color theory, blending, and the emotional power of hues through a variety of hands-on projects inspired by incredible artists. They created Pop Art grid sculptures in the style of Andy Warhol, whimsical repurposed insect art inspired by Jodi Levine, polka dot creatures à la Yayoi Kusama, geometric abstract cities like Paul Klee, and colorful fiber weavings inspired by Anna Ray.

From paint to paper, fabric to found objects, these young artists brought their imaginations to life—and closed out the week with an amazing Art Show to celebrate their colorful creations. We had the best time celebrating Anna’s 6th birthday at the studio this weekend! 🎉

She chose a Caticorn Rainbow theme, and it couldn’t have been more perfect—colorful, creative, and full of fun. From Britto-style paintings with gemmed details, to adopting their very own Caticorns with personalized collars, and creating super rad cat necklaces—Anna and her friends made some amazing art and unforgettable memories.
